A Nostalgic Journey #4

Posted by

I simply loved the view from the back of the last carriage. Yesterday, today and tomorrow’s shots were all taken from it. I didn't want to leave 'my spot' and was like a child in a toyshop :) To view 'my spot' and the carriage go here.

For those who don't know, we went on a nostalgic journey from Waihi to Waikino aboard one of the historic vintage trains and it was delightful. The scenic 6.5 km line took us over farmlands, through cuttings hewn out of solid rock, over three bridges and affords great views of Ohinemuri River and the Karangahake Gorge.

Hope you enjoy the series.
