nice composition. did you manage to capture them in action?
21 Feb 2010 5:01am
@Erika Melisa: No, they never end up going into the water... they probably didn't have enough courage. Ok, in their defence... the water was pretty rough that day so I don't blame them for not going in :)
i cud feel them studying the waves. I'm not comfortable with the man on the far rite tho
21 Feb 2010 5:29am
@MK: Thanks for mentioning that - after uploading this shot I was wondering about that.
nice composition. I do like surfing, but the thought of sharks... that really scares me off :)
21 Feb 2010 5:50am
@madagasca: LOL! Luckily we don't have sharks here. Only small ones that eat small fish... I think our water is too cold :)
Very nice composition… And I like the treatment, too
21 Feb 2010 5:55am
Nice shot ! You must be enjoying summer right !?
21 Feb 2010 6:37am
@Céline: Oh yes!! I love summer
maybe it's just me
but if you have to wear a wet suit
while surfing, where's the fun?
i only surf in *warm* water.
21 Feb 2010 7:29am
@Seraphine: LOL! The water was a bit cold that day, but I agree with you :)
They are looking for the best place to start, no? Have a nice day Anina.
21 Feb 2010 7:36am
@Jean-Luc T: Yes. They were standing there for quite some time, I started to wonder if they were 'waiting on' courage...
Nice shot Anina. I would crop a little bit from the right sight.
21 Feb 2010 8:49am
@Richard: Thanks Richard. After I uploaded it, I was wondering about that.
A terrific observational shot, Anina, and perfect in mono. The foreground rocks anchor the frame superbly and lead us to the girls and boards, as the wave comes rolling in.

21 Feb 2010 9:11am
@STEED: LOL!!
@M@ndy: It was a cold day... ;)
@tataray: Merci
Good morning, Anina,
the reproduction of the scene to me, and the color choice please. It is very well expressed. Good Sunday to you and thank you for the comment. Dear greetings Christel
21 Feb 2010 11:14am
@Christel: Thanks Christel. A nice week to you
Attractive composition! You can make a suggestion? I think that cutting out the person on the right (my right) the composition of surfers seria'aún better! A subjective opinion of course! Greetings

@Fonts: Thanks so much for the advice - it's always welcome. I'm glad you mention that - I wasn't sure about that.
Ah if only I was thirty years younger....sigh
21 Feb 2010 11:35am
@grouser: LOL!!! You are so funny :)
Well I wouldn't jump in..but I hope they do and have fun!
21 Feb 2010 12:34pm
@MrsAmber: LOL! Funny that you said that... they were standing there for ages and never went in the water... :) I must admit se sea was a bit rough though.
Verry nice picture, wel done!
Bien à toi Anita avec mes compliments.

21 Feb 2010 3:21pm
B§W is not usual for surfers , but very pleasant here , very well done , Phil.
21 Feb 2010 5:02pm
Very attractive girls for sure :) Great shot . Love these tones .
21 Feb 2010 5:06pm
The tones are beautiful, they really emphasize the foam on the swell of the wave.
21 Feb 2010 7:06pm
Hello Anina, I like this very beautiful made your photographs monochromic, they are filled with tenderness, I was little afraid of the water sports…. good start of week :)
21 Feb 2010 8:22pm
@Jacqueline: Thanks so much Jacqueline. To be honest, I'm not one for watersports either :) I prefer dry land :) Have a great week.
Very nice colour and shot, this is very beautiful photo
21 Feb 2010 8:33pm
Great composition having them between the rocks and surf, Anina. I like the B&W, it gives it a nice feel.
The surf looks very inviting.

@marc battault: Now that's a GREAt title :)
You had a very productive day at the beach didn't you! I like all these photos and the way you've processed them!
22 Feb 2010 1:28am
Nicely composed, I do agree with the earlier comment the guy on the right is just a little bit distracting, but still a super shot
22 Feb 2010 2:15am
Most of the places where surfing is possible have big waves, that's a common knowledge. But If there are some places where big rocks do not exist simutaneously? Admire this sport but care about safety! Anyway, this is a very exciting capture!
22 Feb 2010 2:22am
a very nice shot! i like the B&W for this. nicely captured
